Indiana Ministerial Department

By God's grace the ministerial department covenants to:

Provide local churches with pastoral leadership:

1. Through empowering the church members with training opportunities.
2. Through the selection process of installing new pastors in the churches.
3. Helping local churches to embrace the advance of God's kingdom with an evangelistic vision.

Provide support for the pastors of our field through the following efforts:

1. Attend special functions related to evangelism in the local churches.
2. Teach the friendship/gardening model of evangelism to core church leaders.
3. Promote the wholistic concept of evangelism from Ministry of Healing - "Christ's method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Savior mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and own their confidence. Then He bade them, "Follow Me." - Ministry of Healing 143.
4. Pray by phone and in person with the pastors as needs and opportunities arise.
5. Consult with pastors regarding crucial issues for family, church, and ministry.
6. Provide the "pantry approach" for pastors to have available resources from the conference office rather than a one-size-fits-all methodology.
7. Celebrate successes to God's glory with the pastors privately and publicly.
8. Preach in the churches of the individual pastor's district as our schedules permit.
9. Be here as a support to pastors and their families as needed.
